By establishing a legacy gift, or otherwise including Georgetown Day School in your estate plans, you join the Gladys Stern Society.
When third Head of School Gladys Stern retired in 1996—after 42 years of service to GDS, 21 of them at the helm—she was the longest-serving head of a local independent school. She shepherded the construction of our High School building at 4200 Davenport Street, NW through development, an endeavor that took several years. Through this and other accomplishments, she worked tirelessly to secure our school’s position. Your legacy gift honors Gladys and serves as an investment in our future.
If you have already made a provision in your estate plans for GDS, we thank you for your generosity. Please let us know so that we may express our gratitude and recognize you as a member of the Gladys Stern Society. Legacy gifts include bequests, gifts that provide income to the donor, and other arrangements. While no one at GDS can advise you on tax, legal, or estate matters, we can initiate or join the conversation to help you craft your plans.
